Raversys – Building a Strong Foundation for Digital Innovation in the UK

Raversys is a technology company delivering tailored digital solutions that help organisations modernise systems, improve efficiency and unlock new opportunities through technology.

Specialising in custom software development, web and mobile applications, enterprise platforms and cloud-based systems, the company supports organisations across sectors including education, healthcare, retail and professional services. By combining strategic consultancy with technical expertise, Raversys works closely with clients to design solutions that address real operational challenges and deliver long-term value.

From Global Expertise to a North East Base

Raversys was founded by three partners with complementary expertise across technology, product development and marketing.

Nasser Hassan, who leads UK operations, brings more than 30 years of international experience across Europe, the Middle East, Russia and Africa, with a strong background in business development and client engagement. Jamal Ahmad, CTO, leads product strategy and technical architecture, specialising in complex software systems and cloud-based platforms, while Mohamad Hassan oversees marketing, operations and customer engagement, drawing on over 15 years of B2B technology experience.

The company was established after the founders identified a common challenge: many SMEs struggle to access high-quality, bespoke digital solutions that are both affordable and integrated. Raversys was created to bridge that gap—offering enterprise-level capability with the flexibility and cost-efficiency growing businesses need.

Following extensive research, the team chose County Durham as the ideal location to launch their UK operations.

“We chose County Durham based on an extensive study prior to our arrival in the UK. County Durham is the perfect location for our sector and we are able to achieve our goals here.”
Nasser Hassan, Co-Founder

A Different Approach to Digital Delivery

Raversys stands out through its hybrid delivery model, combining a UK-based client-facing presence with a highly skilled development team in North Africa. This approach enables the company to offer the accessibility and trust of a local partner while maintaining cost efficiency and technical scalability.

Alongside bespoke development services, the company is also building its own SaaS platforms, including:

  • Menacore – a modular ERP platform for service-based businesses
  • MoviYum – a digital ordering and management system for the food and beverage sector

By combining custom development with scalable SaaS products, Raversys can deliver tailored solutions quickly while keeping costs competitive for SMEs.

The company’s focus is on creating integrated systems that streamline operations, connect data across departments and provide real-time business insights.

Entering the UK Market

Expanding into a new market brought both opportunity and challenge. Understanding the UK business environment, regulatory landscape and local networks required time, insight and the right support.

To help navigate this, Raversys joined the Durham City Incubator (DCI), gaining access to mentoring, workshops and specialist advice designed to support early-stage businesses.

“DCI has supported us on all levels, including market strategy, access to finance, networking, legal advice and many other elements which were crucial for our success.”
Nasser Hassan

Through the programme, the team refined its market entry strategy, strengthened its business plan and developed a clearer roadmap for growth.

“We were able to update our business plan based on the knowledge gained from DCI. These updates allowed us to be more accurate and develop a feasible roadmap.”

Building Momentum Through DCI

Since joining Durham City Incubator, Raversys has made significant progress in establishing its UK presence.

Key milestones include:

  • Setting up its operational base in County Durham
  • Launching its website and product platforms
  • Initiating early client engagement through local networks
  • Developing partnerships with regional businesses and advisors
  • Progressing pilot discussions with potential clients

At the same time, both Menacore and MoviYum continue to evolve in response to market feedback and user needs.

The collaborative environment within DCI has also played a valuable role.

“It was an opportunity to share knowledge and ideas with people from different backgrounds.”

The programme has not only strengthened the company’s strategy but also its confidence.

“When we first arrived in the UK we were hesitant and had to face many challenges. DCI gave us the tools and guidance we needed to restore our confidence and push forward with our plans.”

Looking Ahead

Over the next 12–24 months, Raversys aims to establish a strong footprint in the North East while expanding its client base and SaaS offering.

Key priorities include:

  • Securing its first wave of UK clients
  • Building case studies across key sectors including retail, food and beverage and professional services
  • Growing its local team in business development and customer success
  • Strengthening partnerships with regional organisations and technology providers

Looking further ahead, the company plans to expand into other UK regions while enhancing its platforms with advanced analytics, automation and AI-driven features.

The long-term vision is to become a scalable digital solutions provider that helps SMEs modernise operations and compete more effectively in an increasingly digital economy.

Advice for Other Founders

Reflecting on the experience, Nasser encourages other founders to fully engage with the programme:

“DCI will give you the chance to establish your business on a solid foundation and guide you through all the critical steps. But you must commit and attend all the sessions to gain maximum benefit.”
