This free, informal event is designed for creative practitioners of all backgrounds and stages of development to discover more about the creative and cultural landscape in County Durham—and how to get involved.

Exclusive Tour of The Story – Get a behind-the-scenes look at this stunning new venue, including exhibition spaces and the county’s archive collections.
Meet the Team – Connect with Ruth Chittenden, The Story’s Community Engagement Officer, who will share how the venue works with communities and creatives.
Cultural Partnership Insights – Hear from Elilee Perry, Cultural Partnership Officer at Durham County Council, about current initiatives and opportunities for collaboration.
Accessing Archives – Learn how to access and work with the County’s rich archive materials for creative or commercial projects.
Opportunities Ahead – Explore emerging creative and commercial opportunities, and get practical advice on how to connect with the right people.
Business Support & Funding – Jane Shaw of Create North will also be on hand to outline support available for creative business start-up, growth, and social enterprise development.
